Welcome to WildNorWester 2019.  Here you'll find the models that were made for the Youtube series Sodor the Modern Years, which have been released 'as-is' in case anyone else wants to use them.

Most of these models use the TTTELocomotive scripting (by Rileyzzz), which allows for the eyes to be 'puppeted' with a video game controller, as well as moved with on-screen controls.  This scripting is compatible with Trainz 2019 and Trainz 2022, including Trainz 2019 SP5.  As such, you'll find these models under the 'TRS 2019+ Content' section.  Models without TTTELocomotive scripting, such as rolling stock and those that only use the AJS superscript, are compatible with Trainz a New Era and above, and so you'll find them under the 'TANE Content' section.  Some of the TANE models may be compatible with Trainz 2012, however they have not been tested in this version of Trainz. Please note, there is a known issue with Trainz 2019 SP5 that prevents the AJS superscript on these locomotives working properly. However, they have been tested and confirmed working in Trainz 2019 SP1-SP4 and Trainz 2022.

Some older engine models have been released on this site.  You will find these in the 'Legacy Engines' section under 'TANE Content'.  This includes the Christmas 2020 pack, which is TANE compatible.

All of the models currently on this site have already appeared on-screen in STMY.  The release policy is that models will be made public after they first appear on-screen.  Furthermore, not all models will be released.  Please do not assume that a model will be released just because it has been made.

When downloading these models, please follow these terms & conditions:

1. No reskins or modifications.  Changing dependencies in the config.txt file, such as swapping out hornsounds, etc. is okay.  But changing the textures or mesh of a model is forbidden.

   1. You may change the script files and env_metal texture file to get the models working in earlier PC versions of Trainz.  However, models modified in this manner will not receive any troubleshooting support.

2. Do not ask when a model will be released.  If a model will be released, then it will be done in accordance with the release policy above.

3. Please do not ask for model or episode requests.

4. Before asking for troubleshooting help, please follow the steps outlined on the troubleshooting page. This covers some of the more common causes of problems for both TANE and TRS2019, and trying these steps first can save time and effort.

5. Do not redistribute these models without WildNorWester's permission.

6. Please do not ask about old (2D-face) models.  These are no longer available.

Repeated violation of these rules will result in this website being shut down and the models being made private.  Again.

Please note, none of these models have legitimately been released for Trainz Android.  As such, any versions of these models for Trainz Android are not authorised by WildNorWester.
