Two new variations of Thomas the Tank Engine have been released. The first is his original shape, in the livery he wore in the TV series special The Adventure Begins.

The other variation is a 'what-if' I did a little while ago. Thomas the tender engine:

These two variations of Thomas are now included in his download, on the Ffarquhar Engines page.

As well as these, my old model of D199 has now been updated with the latest scripting and textures.

He comes in two versions, based on the prototype and the wooden railway model. The difference is the orientation of the roof. For some reason, the wooden railway model had it on back-to-front. Each version also comes with grey (TVS style) and yellow (RWS style) faces. You can find him on the Visiting Engines page.

I've been working on a few small things recently, by which I mean some content for the Arlesdale Railway. I've decided to release them now, for Christmas. 🎄

Firstly, after seeing the TVS adaptations of the stories from Small Railway Engines, I realised that the steamers actually looked decent with wheels matching their paint:

So the downloads for Rex, Mike, Bert and Jock now include them with both black (RWS-style) and coloured (TVS-style) wheels. Olivia's model has also been updated to include coloured wheels, but that's just part of her post-2011 livery now.

Next up, I've done some plank wagons, based on the ones used in the TVS episodes. They come in two liveries: TVS and one that matches my Arlesdale box vans:

One thing that has been overdue is a breakdown crane for the Arlesdale Railway. I'd already modeled one for the Skarloey Railway, so I took that and put it on a four-wheel Arlesdale chassis. I also did the same for the support wagon:

Both the plank wagons and breakdown train are now included in the Arlesdale Railway rolling stock pack, on the Narrow-Gauge Rolling Stock page under TRS2019 content.

Finally, there's one Arlesdale engine I haven't modeled until now. By which I mean Frank, the grumpy maintenance diesel of the Arlesdale Railway:

As usual, Knuckles Productions did the faces. Frank can now be downloaded in the Arlesdale Engines section. This download comes in two liveries. The RWS livery seen above, and a slightly different livery, with additional red lining on the cab and Arlesdale lettering.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and happy holidays. 🎄

My latest video, STMY: Its Geography, Places and Railways is now live on Youtube. My release policy is that models will be released after they've appeared in one of my STMY videos, if I choose to release them. As such, I have now released some of the content that debuts in this video.

Barry has a background cameo in the section talking about the works, and so he's now available in the 'visiting engines' section.

Sigrid is talked about in the Arlesdale Railway chapter of the video, and so she's now available in the 'Arlesdale Railway' section. This download includes her and her sister, Shelagh of Eskdale.

Finally, we have some rolling stock. These 10T iron vans, 20T tank wagons and dual tank tank wagons are available in the 'Standard-Gauge Rolling Stock' section of the site. They should work in TANE and above, however they have only been tested in TRS2019 and above.

There has also been an update to the model of Jinty, in the 'Yard Shunters' section. This update corrects a small mesh error on the model, and adds BR early crest and LMS liveries.
